A Twitter feud erupted Wednesday night when former CNN contributor Roland Martin decided to mock Eric Bolling and got slapped back immediately by the Fox News host!
Roland Martin was mocking Bolling for getting a “mostly false” rating from Politifact about Obama’s stimulus.
Here’s what Bolling said, from Politifact:
“President Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (was) a fancy name for almost a trillion-dollar spending bill,” Bolling said. “The ARRA was supposed to fix our crumbling roads and bridges. Remember shovel-ready jobs? Well, guess what: I recall union thug head Richie Trumka laughing, saying, ‘I guess those shovel-ready jobs weren’t shovel-ready. Ha ha ha.’ Not funny, Trumka. That’s hard-working Americans handing over their well-deserved, hard-earned money to the government, only to have it wasted on you and your union thug friends. Really, really not funny, Richie. President Obama spent a trillion of your tax dollars and we have absolutely nothing to show for it.”
Even the left-leaning “fact-checker” had to admit that he was at least partly correct.
But Martin left himself extremely vulnerable to the jab from Bolling, which he quickly deleted. Martin is now best known for being accused of passing debate questions from CNN to Donna Brazile, who then passed them along to the Hillary campaign. This severely damaged CNN and the mainstream media, while keeping “corrupt Hillary” in the headlines.
Martin then blew up on Twitter in a crazy rage:
Again, even Politifact admitted some of what Bolling said was true, and the rest was merely an exaggeration — not unheard of in political analysis and opinion.
Interestingly, Martin did not answer the swipe that Bolling took at him first. But he did offer this challenge:
