Trump: ‘Certain Segment’ of Muslims Are a ‘Problem’

In an appearance on “CNN Tonight” on Wednesday, 2016 Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump once again was asked to respond to a question he received at a town hall in New Hampshire a few weeks ago from an unidentified man that referred to President Barack Obama as a “Muslim” and asked the presidential hopeful how he planned to take on the threat Muslims pose to the country. Trump responded by acknowledging some Muslims are a problem and pointed out the culprits of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks were not from Sweden. “[H]e said, ‘Muslims are a problem,’ OK? That’s what he said, OK? Are they a problem? You tell me,” Trump said. “And I say — I don’t see the people, and I use it often — that knocked down the World Trade Center going back to Sweden. OK? So he said Muslims are a problem. That was part of what he said.” Host Don Lemon pressed Trump on the questions of Muslims being a problem and Trump isolated it to where the problem areas were. “I think a certain segment are certainly a problem,” Trump added. “And unless you want to be so politically correct where you want me to say, ‘Oh, absolutely not.’
