“I’m pro-life,” he said. “The judges will be pro-life, they’ll be pro-life.”
Trump pivoted to “the whole gun situation,” adding that potential justices will also support the Second Amendment.
“Everybody’s talking about the Second Amendment, and they’re trying to dice it up and change it,” he said.
Trump then returned to abortion, saying that if Roe v. Wade were to be overturned, abortion policy “would go back to the states.”
“Yeah, but then some women won’t be able to get an abortion,” CBS’ Lesley Stahl said.
“Yeah, well, they’ll perhaps have to go — they’ll have to go to another state,” Trump said.
“And that’s OK?” Stahl pressed.
“Well, we’ll see what happens,” Trump said. “It’s got a long way to go, just so you understand. That has a long, long way to go.”
